bklyn and january - agree with everything you both say. And yes, the best is coming up with Yunjeoug..I can't wait, it's hysterical. I love the mother too, the antics between her and her husband..hysterical like when he said to her "I'm afraid your belly button is going to wind up on your face" And I love Yungu's comebacks to G, he is so funny...like when he innocently said "I guess being stupid is contagious".. or "you're so crazy about money"..G and Yungu make me laugh so much...This K-drama has so many good characters in it, it is so well written and delivered.

OK so I had already watched the ending ages ago since I used to watch spoilers...so I posted my opinions in the spoiler thread some time ago as well.

I was sooooo disappointed with the ending of this show. I never really liked this show that much to begin with but the ending did not redeem it one bit. I had not seen such a pathetic ending since MSMD but at least I really liked THAT show.

Here were my original posts:

OK so today was the final eps. 172 I saw it with no subs but got the gist...

Miae gets an acting gig finally...not that anyone cares at this point.

The lady that is always with JY's family (I don't even know who she was I think she was an unneeded character) and JY's dad will eventually get together...I believe he gives her the give him time speech...another useless moment...

DP and Bacon's mom both have a puke reaction when cooking and YES you guessed it DP is Preg and so it Bacon's mom Bacon's mom spends the rest of the eps with her head down embarassed...it was kinda cute.

Bacon's dad is such a stud how did he have time between recovery and being the Prez at BJ Foods.

NG told Bacon's mom to tear up the contract. Bacon's mom cried. NG got the paternity results from AG and she opens it,is shocked and starts to cry. Looks like Bacon was Mansu's son all along and I guess she was crying because she had wasted so much time treating him bad and such.

Bacon got SJ's old position in BJ and got a swanky office.

SJ (out of jail) got a job too....doing manual labor working delivering tomatos or apples...it is ALMOST like a revenge except he looks happy playing with his tomatos.

While delivering to a supermarket he sees JY who is preg. And when she sees him yup stupid she covered her belly...like she was "cheating" on him or something...HELLO aren't you over him YET! They briefly speak till WJ appears and then part ways.

SJ's dads career seems to be ok now.

Sua returns and goes straight to see SJ and they get back together. hmmmm lets see she left to Paris to "be happy" so the minute she comes back to Korea she runs right back to the person that made her unhappy and the reason she left in the first place.

Sua then goes home where the whole family is having dinner including Bacon's uncle and his wife Sonia, SJ's dad and Mom...they are suprised she is back and then she tells them all she has a guest and in walks in SJ...everyone is surprised but all of a sudden they all get up and are acting all happy to see him.

They all get together for a "family" portrait.

~THE END~

HATED the fact that Sua and SJ got back together...and hated the fact that he just showed up at Sua's house like so "matter of fact" like "Guess whose coming to dinner" and everyone was just like so surprised but happy to see him... WTF (another one of those what were the writers thinking moments )

Thank god its over! Unfortunately this turned out to be another one of those dramas that I did not enjoy as much as I had hoped...the beginning dragged so much so that I gave up watching on TV and went on to read spoilers to find out what happen...that said the story started to get better but a little too late and the whole thing fell apart. The writers really dropped the ball on this drama...after watching later eps I think this drama had a potential to have been Excellent but it never got there because 1 they dragged it too much in the beginning got better in the mid toward the end but then just shoved everything together quick at the end. So sad really.

A lot of people complained about the last eps and started feeling the pain in the last eps as it just seemed like so much had yet to be answered and then everything was just jammed into the last couple of eps and/or the Final ep.

This drama was supposed to be all about "Forgiveness" but Forgiveness needs to be earned.
The writers definitely would have done better to have put more of the eps toward earning that forgiveness instead of just throwing all in at the last eps like everyone just woke up that day in a forgiving mood.

Sorry to say but be prepared for a dumb ending...yes everyone lived "happily" ever after and no one learned a proper lesson.

I agree Kelly it was as disappointing as MSMD's ending except I actually liked MSMD more than I did this drama so that one still is my most disappointing ending ever...remember my long rant about that one.

I know some people are not going to agree with me but sorry I can't just like every Kdrama 100%....its a shame though because this COULD HAVE been an excellent drama...but I see it as I really got bored of this one early on but then after reading spoilers it peaked my interest again and it was an uphill climb and after making it to the peak I get pushed off the mountain at the end

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the spoilers.

My main beefs with this drama:

1. It seriously dragged in the beginning.

2. Lots of useless characters...or characters that we never really cared about... No one really cared about Miae/Sonia/Bacon's uncle or Chan, then there's that lady that always hangs out with JY's family (she was just a waste of a character) the time used on her could have been better spent developing some of the other characters. Out of all these the only character that made any kind of sense was Miae because she was the one that would confront people and was partially town gossip to JY. Aside from her all those other characters could have been completely left out and we would never care. Along with the last girl hired into Team BJ foods..it was almost like they wanted to fill Bacon and the last girls place but they filled it with yet another useless character. These characters either had no point in the story or you just didn't care about them so could have done with out them all together.

3. No growth of characters...172 eps was enough time for characters to grow...all of them started one way and ended pretty much the same except they had an epiphany on the last eps. .. Although SJ was the "hated" character I think he at least was able to show some change in his character. If we remember right at the beginning Sj started out as a very likable character...he was nice and caring to JY and he showed his dads principles when turning Sua down and returning the gifts his mom accepted....he changed due to his ambition...the drama did show that well and it did a decent (not perfect) job of showing his continued demise into the dark-side as he got badder and badder...unfortunately again they squeezed this too much into the end instead of it being a progression through the eps since he started at the co...then they dropped the ball turning him into his original nice guy at the end and it just seemed too unbelievable after working so hard and doing every thing he could through all that time for ambition to be so happy go lucky about delivering tomatoes. ...that should have been another gradual progression back...at least within the last 10 eps or so not just in 1 eps... Sua never changed from being a brat who always had to have things her way...and there was never that sense that she started really caring for Bacon or his mom and then one day she just crys and calls her mom...the hope too was that she would go to Paris and live her life and change...but she came back and went straight back to SJ without having known if he had changed or not and then she takes him back after he tells her oh I can't afford to buy you anything nice on my salary...and she is OK with that...the spoiled brat Sua that was portrayed through the whole drama would not be OK with that... ...NG just accepted people like that right at the end too...she never showed that progression of caring for them...Bacon's mom started out as a weak person and stayed the same through-out with glimpses here and there that she stood up for herself but these were few and far between and came across more like a moment of madness than anything else... JY same thing never grew always was a doormat and stayed that way right up to the end...we never saw her grow into a strong person who could stand-up for herself after going through so many hardships...which was what everyone wanted to see and this is what USUALLY happens with the meek characters in Kdramas but not this one... Bacon well Bacon was Bacon we didn't expect much from him...he was supposed to be the happy go lucky guy who tries his best whether he succeeds or not and tries to help everyone and be good to everyone and he was just that.

4.Writers confusion...the writers seemed extremely confused in this drama...they seemed to have a lot of good ideas (too many maybe) but testing them on the live drama wasn't exactly the best thing to do...I think this is why they had to introduce useless characters and such...and also why they had to revisit them in such a sordid mess at the end to finally clear them up...I mean bringing something up in say eps 20 and not revisiting the idea at all till about eps 120 does not exactly a cohesive drama make.

5.finalizing EVERYTHING in the last eps...that whole sordid mash-up with everyone ending happily ever after and never having learned any real lessons...did not redeem this drama in the least.

I will give this drama an: EH-It was OK.

K dramas have bad endings... If they didn't, they'd run for years like US soaps...

Ducky...nah I have watched TONS of Kdramas for years...and there is your expectable K-drama endings and then those that are just unjustifiably bad. This one was THAT!

Hi ya'll!

I can't believe some of you hated the last couple of eps! I thought they were really well done, and there were some nice, touching and poignant moments between several of the characters. To see JS having some retrospect about her attitude and DJ offering her experience and wisdom in such a non-critical way. I think that's what I have admired about both BH and DJ's characters is they both had lots of opportunities to say "Nah nah, what goes around comes around" to their oppressors but have always been forgiving instead. Same with BH and JS, he says "I'm sure you were having a hard time, too." he could just as easily said "Not only am I a good guy, I'm Batman."

It did look like Gitae had some contract/consulting work going, SJ finding himself and enjoyment in a lesser job was good for me - I've seen more than a few people jump career fields completely, blow off middle management for lower blood pressure. It would have been nice to see a tie-in where Bonjour Foods was going to start needing tons of tomatoes for their new tomato porridge (ha) and BH made a nice overture for SJ and the company he works for.

Would like to have seen some better dialog between BH and GH when he brings notebook in - they did go through a lot together as coworkers; DJ was a bit too embarrassed about being pregnant - was surprised she didn't call MB at all (probably a little cultural thing I don't get). Overall though, gotta say this is about the best show I've seen, it catered to every sappy love-story craving I've ever had - love it!

Sorry if my opinion too wordy and over-the-top; I stumbled on to LON back in January on Dish episode about 90-something I think. My wife and I quickly latched onto LON and Unstoppable Wedding and decided it was far better fare than anything else Dish Network was coughing up at the time, definitely cleaner and much more enjoyable. Pretty sad there isn't going to be a "LON - Chapter Two", same with Unstoppable. At least I have the OST's on my iPod - ha.

Quick question - Do the fans write to these stars, and if so what's the trick to it from here in the States?
