SJ is outraged at seeing the internet article and seeing BH holding one of the protest signs. SJ asks BI to find BH right away.

The Team is looking at the article on the internet. BH walks in. He is shocked to see the article. BH’s phone rings and it's BI summoning BH to SJ’s office. BH walks into SJ’s office. SJ lays into BH. BH says it’s a misunderstanding and that he was trying to help the situation with the residents. SJ says that it could ruin the groundbreaking with the investors. BH says it’s what Father would have wanted. SJ asks BH if he’s going to use the Father thing again. BH says that the President’s job is still MB’s and that SJ should abide by MB’s wishes. SJ says that Bonjour doesn’t need employees like BH – he’s fired.

DJ is with MB and giving him a manicure. She rubs lotion on his hands and talks to him. She tells him that he promised to take her to see the spring flowers. She notices that a tear drips down his face. She calls the doctor. The doctor looks at him but tells DJ not to get her hopes too high. She doesn’t buy that.

GH runs into the Team and tells the others (minus DP) that BH was fired. They can’t believe it. GH wants to call DP and tell her. DP was at a meeting with a mart manager. She finishes and decides to do some grocery shopping.

Granny, BS, JS & Sua are having tea together at the Bongs. Sua decides to go home with JS. JS tells Granny to be understanding of DP. BS says not to worry – they treat her like a granddaughter. DP just comes home at that point with her groceries and is surprised to see JS there. JS is upset that DP is shopping for groceries. DP’s phone rings. It’s Misuk and she tells DP about BH being fired. DP doesn't tell the others. The others wonder what BH did. JS & Sua leave.

DP calls BH. She asks if he was really fired. He says yes and that they can talk about it at home. DP calls SJ but he removes his battery from his phone to avoid her call.

JS is at home and is still upset about DP. She says to herself that DP wanted to marry BH so much that she should suffer. SJ comes home. DP comes in behind him and wants to know why he fired BH. Sua & JS are surprised. DP starts yelling and SJ yells back as AD comes in. AD wants to know what happened.

Sua sneaks into her room and calls home. She asks Granny if BH came home yet. She tells Granny that SJ fired BH. She tells Granny that BH must have done something pretty wrong to get fired. Sua tells SJ to give him a break. SJ tells her he’ll deal with work. Sua knows her Dad will be upset.

BS & Granny are talking about BH and wondering what he could have done. DP comes home. BS tells her not worry. BS made dinner. BS asks DP what happened. Granny orders DP to have BH come home right away. BH walks in. Granny demands to know what happened.

BH & DP go their room. DP consoles BH.

Miae is admiring a dress that UJ’s mom bought for JY. The family is trying to decide on what to give UJ’s mom. Gambler & Uncle come home. Gambler wanted to visit Sonya. Sonya is making dinner in her room when they enter.

SJ has a nightmare that MB comes into his office (with pj’s & bandages on) and starts to strangle SJ for ruining the company. SJ wakes up in a sweat.

The next day, AD is reading the paper at the table and sees the article with BH in it. JS and Sua see the picture too. SJ enters the kitchen and AD asks SJ about the residents. He tells SJ that BH was wrong, but that SJ shouldn’t fire him like that. SJ says he’ll think about it. JS reminds him to think of DP too.

BH is getting dressed for work. He says he wasn’t officially notified yet so he is going to go to the site and try to further convince the residents. DP is so proud of BH. She’s on vacation and will take care of things at home.

The Team is wondering about BH when he walks in. He tells the Team that he wasn’t officially given notice. The phone rings for BH. It’s the Personnel Dept. He must report to the warehouse next week.

DP is preparing lunch for DJ. BH calls and tells her that he was reassigned to the freezer. DP hangs up and starts thinking about SJ.

DJ is talking to MB. She wants him to wake up. She starts crying. JS walks in. DJ asks why she’s here. JS says to keep DJ company. JS says she’s so upset about BH being fired. DJ asks what is going on. JS fills her in. DJ starts to raise her voice to JS about what happened. DP walks in. DP yanks JS out into the hall and yells at her for telling DJ about BH. JS tells DP that it’s fortunate that she had SJ not officially notify BH. DP tells JS that BH got transferred to the freezer.

BH is leaving work and sees UJ. UJ tells BH to explain his side of the story. BH says it won’t do any good. BH tells UJ that he still has to convince the residents. UJ tells BH about his Mom visiting.

UJ meets him Mom and wants to know why she wants to postpone JY & UJ’s dad meeting. His Mom tells UJ that she overheard that JY still met SJ after he was married. UJ says it’s not true and that he’s confident of his choice. He asks his Mom to trust him.

SJ is in his office and Sua stops by. She wants SJ to go to the hospital together. They arrive. Sua leaves to change the water. SJ asks DJ how MB is doing. She’s mad and he tells her that firing BH was only business. SJ gives DJ a line about not giving personal favors. SJ says he didn’t fire him but transferred him. DJ walks out. SJ is alone with MB and tells him about the residents. He starts to walk away and MB starts to moan. MB opens his eyes and turns to look at SJ!

My need to tell Lucas told you so can not wait.

MB raises out of his bed....and beats SJ to death with a bedpan.

Yeah, you really needed to tell me I told you so like I didn't know you were probably right. Remember- I need to tell myself certain things will happen otherwise this show would have driven me nuts by now.


So getting to Ujin and his mom. Now, really!! Who in real life acts like that?? When you introduce someone to normal parents as the person you want to marry (and that person is obviousy nice, to boot) they are happy for you! That Mom acts like he just told her he wants to invest in some risky venture!

Lucas - I agree with the UJ thing. Is it against the law to be engaged to someone else? And why wouldn't JY fess up and say that she was dumped for a rich girl? Being engaged to someone else seems worse than being divorced...I guess either way they figure that she's damaged goods.

I loved that nightmare of SJ's. If only it had really happened. If only it had given SJ a little bit of a conscience.

I find it strange she considered herself engaged... she never met his parents... they only had couple's rings... he never even met her father until the very end of the relationship...

I seem to recall Jiyeong coming over Seonjaes and his mom wasn't exactly nice to her. SJ definitely came over the Hwangs house. Not sure what you are referring to?

I believe they both met each others family, the families themselves did not met but thats the last stage.
also from k-dramas at least, not everyone gets an engagement ring.

You're right... episode 29 she finally gets to meet SJ's family and...

SJ picks JY up for the parents meeting. Driving to SJ's house JY is nervous so SJ holds her hands.

JY is introduced to AD who is being very nice to her. JS is no where to be seen. AD has to go in their room where JS is reading a magazine and tell her to come out and greet JY. AD tells JY the presents she brought are precious. JS is being very rude and ignorant to JY. JY is noticeably uncomfortable.

SJ comes home and JS tells him she doesn't like her and she doesn't want him to marry her. She doesn't have a mother (Sua doesn't either) and she has a divorced aunt. AD says SJ likes her. JS says people's minds change quickly. JS leaves and AD says this is going to take awhile.

To my mind... with all the Korean formallity... an engagement just never happened.. he never even introduced her to his sister as is girlfriend... just his junior.
