MJu and JH continue to talk.
he doesn't want her to give up her business for the baby.
but she tries to explain that this is what she wants.
she started a successful business, her only other dream was to produce a movie, but now she has a new dream, being a good mother and wife.

in bed Jiung thanks Miae for congratulating MJ on the baby.
Miae says she had to after Jisu asked so earnestly, but it felt good and she's glad she did.

MJ explains to JH that it's not just their baby shes thinking of all the babies to come, Mina, Miae's baby and Jisu will probably have kids soon too.
Some one needs to take care of them so Miae and Jisu can continue to work.
JH says your gonna raise all those kids? are you opening a daycare or something?
MJ loves the idea!

In bed, S mom tells B mom that Mr. Bak that she met before at the center kept asking about B mom.
S mom thinks he is interested in B mom.

Jisu who stayed over at her parents gets up early and makes breakfast for MJ and Miae.

MY and MT are working at the market.
MT tries to get MY to let him take over so he can spend more time on his studies.
but MY says he'll see at the end of the month if Uncle has gotten the hang of things.

MJa and Tasik give the mother's their pay.
they give MT his pay too, but he tries to turn it down saying he's just grateful the feed him.
he goes into his room and gets a call from his Ex wife.
he begs her again to send the kids back saying he'll pay her anything.
she says the kids are doing well in the states and does want to send them back.
hearing MT's raised voice S mom ( And only S mom, not MJ, Tasik, or B mom Rolling Eyes ) goes into MT's room.
MT's ex says she just needed a little help with tuition if he could afford it saying her new husband wants to help too.
MT snaps again at the mention of her husband and she says never mind, pretend i didn't call.
S mom snatches the phone from MT and calls her a wench and asks how she can ask for money after what shes done.
MT takes the phone back but it's too late she's hung up.

Jisu and MY visit Sejun, who's outside.
his mom says he's getting better.

the Seok's take a family picture, HY is wearing a pink habok.
later they are all at dinner.
The kids congratulate them on 30 years of marriage.
Dad says it's the best anniversary they've ever had, and mom says shes very happy to the point of tears.
EH says this is what dinner should be like when they eat out.
EJ says she thinks this is the nicest dinner they've had.
Mom says she always use to worry who would see them and how they looked to other people when they went out but now shes happy just to be with them.
she turns to dad and says i think we should give SH a medal for teaching us the value of family.
EJ says I married well didn't I?
They all toast.

Miyeong remarks on MJ's lack of morning sickness and says (MJ and EJ's) babies must take after their moms, MJ's being gentle and EJ's being picky.
EJ jokes with her and MJ jokes no becoming friends you two, you're better at your jobs when you're fighting.
she calls EJ's mom for lunch.
she tells her about her plan for a Grandma co-op daycare and asks her if she'd like to be a part of it.
HY says yes, and EJ suggests since shes a good cook she handle snacks.

she goes to visit JH at work.
she again asks him for his support.
he recalls how when she was young she told him about a movie and made it sound so good he ran out and saw it but it wasn't as good as her version of it.
he just doesn't want her to lose that part of herself and change.
she says she'll still be that person and JH says then he'll support her.

she heads back to the office and tells Eunju and Miyeong.
she asks EJ to take over the business for her.
the two are surprised, Jisu comes in and Miyeong tells her EJ's quitting.
MyeongJu says Miyeong has the experience and Eunju can run things well.

The most illuminating comment was by the actress who played Sunim. She said she has met many women who are like Sunim...yikes! Also, did the narrator imply that the actors who played Muyeoung and Jisu became romantically involved off the set? It wasn't clear to me. Regardless of all the compliments dished out, the last 30+ episodes were 90% apple sauce.

This show was like an afterschool special dragged out for hours and hours. Lifeless characters and performances, easy moralizing, and mostly devoid of humor. I'm so glad PiH was my introduction to the K-drama--if I'd started with this I wouldn't have lasted ten episodes.

Hmm, I liked this one. And my thoughts were that the storyline was the weak point but the characters were excellent.

This show was not all that bad. It dragged in the middle, like most.

It was lacking in some ways.
There was no truly nasty evil characters we love to hate.
I don't think there was much girl on girl slapping.
No one got drunk down at the Han River.
No one had cancer.....I was thinking the adults. Forgot about the younger generation!

But otherwise it was lukewarm. At least it was watchable.
Check out My Precious Child/Family. Anyone who says this story was sooo bad.
You will see that it was better written then you thought... Laugh Out Loud

Edited by me....I goofed!

Ahh, but you forgot- Sejun had leukemia, that is a type of cancer if I'm not mistaken.

Technically Sejun's illness shouldn't count since it was a pre-existing condition when he was introduced.

This was a very lukewarm KD, but so much better than the cold fish MPC. I actually liked this one for it's simplicity. But hopefully the next one will be better. Remember the good old KD days? So This is Love, Who's My Love, Yellow Hankie? Now those were dramas. If the next one is close to those - oooh man will I be ecstatic.

See, I thought the characters really were awful. I mean, what did we have here:

--A potentially perfect daughter-in-law becoming.....a perfect daughter-in-law.
--A bad daughter-in-law becoming.....an okay daughter-in-law.
--Her henpecked young husband getting used to being henpecked.
--An emo dude staying emo.

You know what I mean here? There was close to zero development of the four leads; basically they're all the same as they started out. And then there's:

--Sticking Eunha with that doofus (I'd rather they just let her dangle like Shinny in PiH.)
--Bad perm grandma didn't get any less annoying. For 160 episodes.
--Good perm grandma didn't get any less stoic and virtuous. For 160 episodes.

The only people who changed a bit were the rich parents, and they're basically the only ones I like out of this whole mess. And there's something good about their arc about parents making up for past wrongs and not wanting their kids to repeat their mistakes. But that's like the only character development I liked about this show.

So you don't like Myeongju and Fake LCH? Anyway, I wasn't reflecting on development lol I just like the characters!
