This is a great comedy drama about Kyung Min (Kim Rae Won) and Jung Eun (Jung Da Bin) who live together in a "house above the roof" (literal translation of "okh tap bang"). This drama has got to be the best k-drama of 2003 for me as it brings in such a refreshing and lively plot that is realistic at the same time. This drama has so many cute and funny moments that there had been many times when I caught myself laughing uncontrollably at the attics of Kyung Min and Jung Eun, watching the drama alone in my room. Kyung Min and Jung Eun plays very cute characters in here which makes them the most adorable couple. Kyung Min plays an irresponsible player in the drama who is full of mischief, flirtatious with the girls and can be a total jerk at times. However, the drama progresses with Kyung Min slowly stepping out of his immaturity as he discovers his new found affection towards Jung Eun. The drama explores realistic scenes of two people living together, their hardship, friendship and eventual love that developed. I love the hundred adorable expressions by Kyung Min and Jung Eun which makes this drama one of my favorites for 2003. Though a light and comedic drama, it is not without the melodramatic element that makes this a worthwhile drama to watch. The acting of both lead actors bring in the appropriate chemistry, with hilarious moments coupled with emotional scenes all in one. Lee Hyun Woo plays Jung Eun's boss who eventually falls for her simplicity while Choi Jung Yun plays a girl Kyung Min had been infatuated with but is in love with Lee Hyun Woo. The story twirls into and interesting love box of four parties. A highly recommended drama to watch!

I enjoyed this one. And...for the cherry on top, Kim Rae-won is hot stuff!! Bouncing Grin
Spoiler (Click here to reveal) :

Decent ending too. However, the back and forth bickering, his leaving, and his ending up back there gets a little bit old.

I'm enjoying this drama. I'm on episode 11, out of 16 episodes.

The first episode is kind of goofy (I think the cast hadn't gelled yet becuase the acting seemed bad.) The series quickly got a lot better! Now, I'm dying to find out what will happen to the main characters. The acting is good and all of the lead actors are well cast.

I have not seen the ending, yet, but so far this drama lacks some of the clichés present in other Korean Dramas. This makes it seem more realistic (especially regarding the two main characters and their interactions with one another).

This drama has drama, but it is also very funny. Kim Ray Won is hilarious. He brings humor to this show with his gestures, attitude and timing. Very Happy

This is one of my all-time favorite K-dramas...it was one of the first I was able to watch.

The review in the first post is dead on.

I enjoyed watching the relationship between the characters develop...tho there were definitely times I wanted to smack KRW. Laugh Out Loud

A thoroughly enjoyable series and a definite keeper.

I bought "He was Cool" because I enjoyed Jung Da Bin so much--she's an excellent actress--really has a great sense of timing.

It might be an old news for some of you but I was watching KBS and they were talking about celebrities who passed in 2007 and they mentioned that Jung Da Bin, the lead actress in Attic Cat had committed suicide last February. She hung herself in her bf's bathroom, apparently she's been depressed coz she hasn't been getting any roles lately. How sad Sad
