A very odd but beautiful film about a silent man who lives his life in the shadows
and corners of other people's. The two main characters say nary a word for the
entire film: very unique and thoughtful.

I rented it from Blockbuster last year. I liked it.

I caught this on Starz a few weeks ago. The body language and facial expressions of the lead actors are so good, I was almost an hour into it before I realized they were talking. Excellent movie.

Yeah, I saw this movie sometime in the last year or so (I think) and also thought it was excellent! I am a fan of this director, Kim Kiduk, for sure! Very Happy

Wow! I was just wondering whether or not to start a topic about this movie. I have been playing it so much, it's a wonder the disc doesn't melt. The male lead doesn't speak a word (that I can recall), yet says so much with his acting. Has he been in any daily dramas? I also just rented another KDK film, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. I did not like it as much, but of course I don't understand it as well - will have to see it again, I suppose. Does anyone out there know about the oriental concept of "ghost"?

The lead actor also played the lead in Delightful Girl Choon Hyang - a very different sort of role. His father is played by the same actor who played AD (Angry Dad) on BB.

What is it a poster of, Nancy? I think I recognize the lead actor in 3 Iron, but I'm not sure.

I absolutely love this movie.
I am Not a fan of KDK yet but could become easily.

If you like to look into the homes of Koreans this is your film.
This was fantastic for showing different ways people live in Korea and it is one of the things that the director said he wanted to do.
Another thing is to listen to the directors dialog. So interesting.
My two thumbs up.
