I found an an article about Jo Min ki - but I couldn't figure out how to post a link here. I copied some of it below, and hopefully, if you want to read the rest, you will be able to see it on the Korean Herald website. He is going to star in a new play soon. Carol

[HERALD INTERVIEW] Jo Min-ki back to stage with more color (2007/03/08)
Jo Min-ki, one of top-rated actors on Korean TV screens, returns to theater next week with a Korean adaptation of the Russian classic "The Seagull".

The drama, originally written by legendary Russian playwright Anton Chekhov, tells a story about unrequited love in which all the characters love someone who does not care for them. Jo plays young and successful author Trigorin, who is in a triangle relationship with famous actress Arkadina and a local girl, Nina.

Jo said it was his affection toward the work that brought him the chance to be 'Trigorin' again.

The 41-year-old actor challenged for the role like every other candidate and had to go through six auditions to finally win the role.

Versatile actor Jo Min-ki, who was quite soft and merry during an interview, concentrates on his role `Trigorin` at the Korean adaptation of the Russian play, "The Seagull".

I hope the play is so successful that he has to tour the world and come to the States for a few shows - and then I would have to have an interpretor friend come with me!

Jo Min Ki is in a new movie that came out July 12th called The Cut or Cadaver. Looks too scary!
I also saw that he went to Africia to help raise money for poor children.

I'm glad to hear he's "back in action". I miss seeing him.

I saw some pictures of Jo Min Ki from East of Eden, but I don't think he is Iljimae anymore. I saw a different actor playing the part I thought he was playing - the father. I hope I'm wrong though.

I teach English in South Korea, and I just found out that one of the boys in my class is Jo Min-Ki's child. When the Korean co-teachers found out they went a little wild.. I came across this website when I searched his name.

It's pretty funny; we regularly assign essays to the students, and the last essay topic was along the lines of "If you were a famous person, what would you be famous for? How would you use your fame?", etc. He wrote a pretty good essay about being the son of a famous actor. He would hang out in social events and everyone would talk about how his father was famous..
I had a chuckle and thought it was very original. Little did I know it was true!

Jo Min Ki seems like such a nice guy. He is currently in East of Eden, where his character is not nice at all - so I think he is a really good actor. If you get to talk to him, please tell him to come visit the United States!

I came across a You Tube interview of Cho Min Ki - I don't know what he is saying, or the other people being interviewed. The interview shows some of his past work. I think he may be talking about his evil role in East of Eden. They may be saying something about his shower scene. And I think the last part of the interview may be about how funny he is on set. Hopefully, he'll start another drama after he gets back from Africa.

Today (what's left of it in Korea) is Jo Min Ki's birthday. I'm glad he's keeping busy. He is the King in Seon Deok and has started a new drama - Wife Returns.
