hi, i'm new to this forum. i apoligize if this is in the wrong place.

i've been watching kbs dramas on wmbc-tv, newton new jersey for years. but now i go to college in the philly area - in ewing, nj, and i can't figure out what channel on comcast broadcasts them or at what time.

could anyone help me out?

Hi Ashleed, welcome.

I don't have Comcast but hopefully someone with it will be able to help.

The over the air station is MindTV (Formally WYBE) which broadcast over the air on ch.35 (And now with digital tv 35.2, 35.3 and 35.4)
It only airs Korean programing at certain times so don't be surprised if you turn it on and someone is bellydancing.

(They rebroadcast some shows at different times on their sub stations but I'll just give you the times for the main channel)
Times are:
Jolly widows/Everybody Cha cha: M-F at @11:50pm
A repeat airing of Likeable or not airs right after Jolly widows @ 12: 25am
Empress Chun Chu: Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00pm

Comcast Channel for this drama is 35 WYBE and it starts about 11:50PM.

I have another channel which I think is digital- 246 and it starts at 10:00PM.

Keep in mind that Philadelphia may be behind where you also watch in Newton.

Hi Ashleed- the channel # for MiND varies depending on where you are in the area, but I'm pretty sure if you're actually in the city it's 35. The other channel, Global MiND, which airs it at 10 PM, is 265 on Comcast.

i only have basic comcast cable - not digital, so i'll have to check it out when i go back. it starts at 10?

Apologies if my post caused confusion, ashleed. If you don't have digital then 35 is your channel, and JW starts on there around 11:50, after the Korean news.

Just be glad that you're not trying to watch Korean TV out of Newton,
New Jersey, anymore. The latest change? Channel 63.5 is now totally Chinese.
NTDTV ~ New Tang Dynasty Television.
(Hey, weren't the Tang Chinese the bad guys, in "Dae Jo Young?")

They are showing the historical drama "Jewel in the Palace" from a few
years ago, which I had never seen, since I didn't know anything about
Korean TV back then, or that it was even available on my TV.
But it's got both Chinese sub-titles AND Chinese voice-over dubbing.
No English anything........all day and night.

There's also some drama about women in a dress shop, and it has the
orphan-girl's biological mom from "You are my destiny" and the super-evil
Shinhwa CEO mom of Gu Junpyo, from "Boys Over Flowers" in it. This drama
is also from a few years ago, and it's also in total Chinese.

Now there's 3 languages that I can't understand from Channel #63.........
Korean, Spanish, and Chinese!
