Is everyone caught up with Partner? Tonight we should all be watching Episode 12, and if we stay on track, next Friday, the 20th, will be our last episode. So, it is time to decide upon our next drama to watch after this one.

Last time, when we voted for Partner, "Shining Inheritance" got the second highest number of votes. Would you all like to watch "Shining Inheritance" next? Or would you like to vote for another drama? This is the list of dramas that you all had previously nominated, and which seemed most popular. I've removed those that didn't get any votes at all. You can add any other dramas that you want to add to the list.

Shining Inheritance (a/k/a Brilliant Legacy)
Last Scandal
Dalja's Spring
Good Job, Good Job a/k/a Job Well Done
I Really, Really Like You
Queen of Housewives
He Who Can't Marry

So the question is:

1) Do we watch Shining Inheritance next, which is the one that got the second highest number of votes?
-or-
2) Do we start voting all over again, for one of the dramas listed above?

OK, ladies, start making your decisions. We only have a few days to decide, so please let me know A.S.A.P.

You're Beautiful!

(Not you Maria, that's just what the shows called, not that you aren't' beautiful, I'm sure you're stunning)

If not I guess it's Shinning's turn. ^_^

OK, we have 1 vote for "YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL".

The rest of you ladies, let me know which drama you'd like to see next.

Since my schedule is so busy right now, I may not be able to watch the next one either. Crying

So I'm open to whatever the rest of the groups wants to watch. Bouncing Grin

I had to give up on Partner, but I am ready for the next one. I'm all for You're Beautiful! Bouncing Grin
Remember I suggested Good Job, Good Job well I take it back. Don't watch it! Can it be removed from our list of choices? It's one of those dramas that starts out super good and then goes to hell. From sugar to sh*t in an instant!

I'm bumping this up, so that you all will remember to give me some more suggestions.

Right now, the choices are mainly between YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL (suggested by two of you) and SHINING INHERITANCE (which got the second highest number of votes last time).

Do any of you want to add anything else? If not, I'll just put up these two dramas for a vote. We need to make a final decision before next Friday.

Ladies, have you all lost interest in the Drama of the Month group? I haven't gotten any other suggestions. Do you want me to just put it up for a vote between "You're Beautiful" and "Shining Inheritance"?

I'm thinking that many of you are already watching "You're Beautiful" and if we choose that as our next drama, you won't be participating because you've already seen it. Some of you have also seen "Shining Inheritance". I'd like for us to choose a drama that none of us have seen so that we can watch it together and comment on it, much like we did with the first two dramas we watched ("Slingshot" and "That Fool").

So, what do you suggest we do next? Should I take more suggestions for dramas, or just put up a poll with the two dramas I mentioned above?

It's true by the time we start You're beautiful I would have watched almost all of them so unless more people who haven't seen it want to see it maybe it's not a good choice for DoM. (But still an awesome show.)
I worry Shining might be too long with the way we seem to fall behind anyway.

Are there any older shows we haven't considered?
Or maybe something that's still airing/just aired like Smile, you

OK, scratch "Shining Inheritance" (too long) and "You're Beautiful" (most of you are already watching it). Some of you didn't want to watch "Last Scandal" (too sad in view of the death of the main actress). "Dal Ja's Spring" is 22 episodes and "I Really, Really Like You" is 34 episodes (much too long for our Attention-Deficit afflicted group. Laugh Out Loud )

Well, looking through Drama Fever and MySoju, I found an older drama called "Auction House". (The links are broken in MySoju, but it's available on DramaFever). It sounds interesting, and it's only 12 episodes long!

Since we all seem to have very short attention spans, this looks like a good choice for our next drama. (Did I mention it only has 12 episodes? Laugh Out Loud ) This part of the description, actually sounds really good: With millionaire clients, art forgeries, thefts, and inter-office romance, life at an auction house is never dull!

Quote:
Auction is a drama set in the high-stakes world of auctioneers, and experiments with making a drama in an American style -- stand-alone episodes and a more episodic, multi-season storyline. Four directors and four writers rotated over the course of the series, each providing their own style. As a result, Auction House contains a mix of thriller, "human drama", detective story, and comedy elements. Headed by Yoon So Yi of Say You Love Me and Jung Chan of Lovers, Auction House is an entertaining drama about the world of high-stakes auctions. With millionaire clients, art forgeries, thefts, and inter-office romance, life at an auction house is never dull!

When Cha Yeon Soo (Yoon So Yi) applies for a job at Korea's top auction House, Hi Auction, and convinces them to hire her in spite of her inexperience, she has no idea what she's getting into. Confronted with demanding clients, high-maintenance bosses, and priceless artworks going missing as she tries to navigate the dangerous waters of her new job, she discovers that the high-profile auction house is a battleground.

The company, meanwhile, decides that she needs mentoring and assigns newly re-hired Oh Yoon Jae (Jung Chan) to work with her. A brilliant, irascible art specialist, he was fired years before after being accused of auction forgery. The cheerful, warm-hearted Yun Soo and the cynical, ruthless Yoon Jae have very different approaches to their job, but gradually they develop a mutual respect. Inspired by her cool, efficient boss, Min Soo Rin (Kim Hye Ri), Yeon Soo dreams of becoming an auctioneer. But when a dark secret that she's been hiding comes out, Yeon Soo's job is in jeopardy...

It's the only 12 episode Kdrama I could find.

And then there's "He Who Can't Marry" with Ji Jin Hee. It's a comedy (like "That Fool") and it's only 16 episodes. This one is on MySoju only, and one of the links appears to be broken (Episode 14), but it will probably be fixed by the time we would get to that episode.

Quote:
Cho Jae Hee is a man in his 40s who is very stubborn and hasn't gotten married yet. His personality is so unbearable that women don't find him attractable nor a good candidate for marriage. However, Jae Hee, is perfect in everything that he does. His life will be surrounded by three different women. Jang Moon Jung is a doctor that he meets one day, Jung Yoo Jin is his neighbor whom he meets due to a disturbance, and Yoon Ki Ran is his colleague at work.

What do you all think??? Shall we try one of these on for size?

I need all of you DOMmies to give me your suggestions on this!

.

I started to watch "He who can't marry" for a few episodes, before I got distracted... Blushing

It was cute and funny.

There's a scene with JJH's nekkid butt... a7i6

Fine with a capital 'F!'

Bumping this up so everyone can see it. I need to hear from our DOMmies group, as to which drama you want to see next.

These are the new choices:

1. Action House
2. He Who Can't Marry
3._____________________ (list whatever drama you'd prefer)

Cat prefers He Who Can't Marry. Joanmarie will go with either choice. How about the rest of you?

I liked He Who Can't Marry...it was very enjoyable. Unfortunately it is one of those shows that gives you the REAL ending after the credits. Several times now I have almost missed the boat by turning off something when the credits are rolling.

The consensus seems to be for "He Who Can't Marry", so that will be our next drama after we finish Partner. I'm sure you all researched the two dramas, and after a thorough comparison of plot, acting skills, and story development, decided that "He Who Can't Marry" would be more in tune with our refined tastes, huh?

(But more likely it was Cat's mention of that "nekkid butt" scene). Laugh Out Loud

I did research,

and came across the naked butt. Laugh Out Loud

(Actually Auction looked good too but might fall into the heavy drama trap of Slingshot and Partner so I picked the comedy.Razz)
No trailers for Auction house but here's the first 5-20mins

I didn't get into Partner. I'm in the mood to watch a comedy so, I'm glad the next one is He Who Can't Marry.

I would love to watch "The Man Who Can't Get Married."

I saw a few episodes a couple of months ago and it was really funny!

It will be fun to watch to watch it, and then talk about it on here!

Can't wait! Very Happy
