A Few notes:

-There will be a 50-50 raffle $5 a ticket or 5 for $20. The winner receives half the money collected. The other half goes to the server fund.
-Every get together there are people who reserve and don't show. I wind up chasing them down but even then some don't pay. (Two people still owe me from last get together). Additionally, every get together 1 person winds up not paying. I am sure this is an oversight and not intentional but the total collected is always short by 1 meal. In an attempt to avoid these issues, everyone is encouraged to pay for their meal in advance. You can, of course, still pay at the door if you choose. Your meal cost can be sent to me via Paypal or postal money order only. I have been burned by a few personal checks so, unless you clear it with me first - no personal checks. If you choose to use Paypal, add $0.80 for their processing fee (total cost $20.80). You can use the top donation buttons to send the Paypal payment or send the Paypal payment directly to mtlandis@yahoo.com. Make sure to note that it is your payment for dinner.
-RSVPs will be accepted from March 1st thru noon (EDT) April 18, 2010. Attendance is limited to 70 people. Once we reach 70 people, we will start a waiting list - 1st come, first serve. You are free to change your confirmation anytime before April 18. If you need to cancel after April 18 you will be responsible for the cost of your meal. If I have to chase you down for the money or you fail to pay, you will be banned from both the group and future get togethers.
-Please note if you cancel your RSVP, your place will be filled by someone on the waiting list. If your plans change again, you will be added to the waiting list if there are 70 confirmed attendees.
-Dinner will be served buffet style. If China and cloth napkins are your thing, maybe you should skip the get together and attend an Indie instead.
-Winners of the first game will be the first in the Buffet line. The second place winners will be next and so on. Everyone is encouraged to be on time as we start playing as soon as you arrive.
-No alcohol will be served at this event. No alcohol may be brought to this event
-Drinks will consist of soda, tea, coffee and water. Since these are being purchased separately, please let us know in advance what your preference is so we can have enough.

Just an FYI. We are working on an alternate location for the next get together. We want Myung Ga to cater it. Laurie and her helpers are scouting locations for us now.

Anyone who has eaten at Myung Ga knows his food is to die for.

 

oooh oooh oooh!!!! sounds great! i was hoping we might eventually do an official myung ga thing! great news. location wise, you might wanna see if the korean methodist church or some place like that might let us use their fellowship area... i bet it would be a lot cheaper than trying to find fancier digs.

And as far as location - it's really easy to get to - whether you're coming over any of the bridges or 73 or 295, etc. If you've been to Myung Ga, it really is just a stone's throw away from there.

Umm.. for some reason it never occurred to me to wonder what the "m" in "mt" stood for. You SO don't look like a Mary. Theresa is definitely more fitting.

At first I panicked when I hit send and I got the message that I sent it to Mary. I was like "who the heck is Mary and why did I just send her money!?!?" Common sense is not my strong point sometimes.

Anyway, I know I'm early, but I paid now because I have the money now... I'm getting ready to go to go on a Disney Cruise in a few weeks and I'll probably be broker than broke when I get back.

lol Joy I never made any secret out of the fact that my first name is Mary. I never use it except for "official" things.

I was named for my 2 grandmothers - Mary (father's mother) and Theresa (birth mother's mother). My birth mother's name is Mary Anne and after my parents divorced, my brother and I lived with my father's mother - no one ever called me Mary. In my family we have a lot of little and bigs and I think my father wanted to avoid that with me.

For those of you unfamiliar with the terms little and big....

Both my father and my brother have the same name so my father is Big Ronald and my brother is Little Ronald. (BTW - little Ronald is a good 1"-2" taller than Big Ronald). We have lots of them in my family and they are not necessarily parent and child.

I will accept Joy's payment, but please - no one else till RSVPs officially open in a few weeks, OK?

A lot of flights and cruises come through Miami. I might eventually get a chance to meet all of you, one by one, without ever setting foot in Philadelphia.
