It sound better if it were 'Mr. Green, Top Carriage'. Rolling Eyes

Speaking of sound, This show has to have the worst music I've ever heard - and it's only episode 1. That is Korean they're singing in, is it? Sounds more like Russian...

I have to admit, the beginning, though not entirely original, was at least intriguing. And it's not hard to pick out the bad guys right away, either. The Evil Girl looks like an evil girl, and Bad-Haircut Boy looks bad - and like a pinhead, with that haircut... Rolling Eyes Of course, he's being abused by an equally bad father, played by Su In's step dad from TRH - albeit with grey hair. Then, there's the infamous Na Bora...The less said about her, the better...

But, since the good guy gets chucked off a building 10 days before the flashback, how are they going to sustain the story? Do I smell a long-lost twin brother? Or a double? Or a clone? Or a zombie?

This show might be interesting, given the rather different opening episode. But I'm not impressed by the women - except Na Bora...

For some reason, I’m having a REAL hard time getting into this one.

The best I can tell (so far, I still don’t know the character names) we’ve got the typical Dictatorial CEO/Father, with his two half-brother sons. Nice Guy Half-Brother is a technical genius, and is crazy in love with a girl who is equally crazy in love with him. Loser Half-Brother is a paper-pusher, with huge gambling debts, who is crazy in love with his Nice Guy Half-Brother’s girlfriend (though she just seems to consider him an “oppa”).

Nice Guy Half-Brother is quitting work at his dad’s place to work for his mother (who seems to be a business rival to his father). Loser Half-Brother is filled with jealousy towards Nice Guy Half-Brother (over both his woman, as well as his career success) though naïve Nice Guy Half-Brother doesn’t seem to sense this.

The mystery, so far, is did Loser Half-Brother have something to do with Nice Guy Half-Brother’s death (which, as we already know, happens in ten days . . .)?

I don’t know yet if I’ll stick this one out, but I’ll give it some time.

Give it at least 10 days - if you can stand the music that long. Laugh Out Loud

Boy, you’re not kidding about that weird Russian music. WTF????

Okay, so they’re NOT half-brothers. Slimy Guy is the Ruthless CEO’s real son; Nice Guy is just treated like one. My bad.

Now . . . why did Nice Guy get picked up by the cops? I wonder if Ruthless CEO (after hearing that his Slimy Guy Son stole secret corporate documents to pay off his gambling debts) decided to sacrifice Nice Guy to save his kid?

I think that's it. Next come the beatings and the roof throwing.

I'm not getting into this show. Maybe it's because the girls aren't as cute, or maybe it's because we know what will happen to the male lead.

Maybe you and I do have the Male Chauvinist Pig thing going, but yes, it does help a lot when a show features a cute, personable female character in a lead role . . . and this show doesn’t have one. This one seems instead to be aimed at the female audience (the nice, good-looking cute guy, vs. the hairy, studly tough guy). Yawn.

Today’s episode: odd how, in Korea, prosecutors can grill you for hours on end without having an attorney present. Put those prosecutors in military uniforms, and you’d think this was a scene from North Korea. Sad

Sure, don’t tell the old woman that Nice Guy’s been taken away by the fuzz, because of her “weak heart.” Gotta make sure that the only person who might really help out is kept in the dark.

Looks like Nice Guy croaks next week. Oh well.

Nope, this one isn’t doing it for me, either.

I heard them say something in the previews about not finding the body. Gee, what a surprise. Rolling Eyes This seems like a bush league Resurection/Revenge, but much less interesting.

He trains for years in martial arts, but can't even finish off 4 thugs... Rolling Eyes I can imagine how long it would take Chuck Norris to take care of those pathetic goons. Rolling Eyes Or Nara...She's slap them a year into the future.

I was wondering who actually ordered him killed - Bad Haircut Boy, or Dog Killer Dad, until Big Brother (who is trying to regenerate his career in evil after being taken down in CH Rolling Eyes ) ordered him buried alive. Now I suppose Bad Haircut Boy will eventually become his ally in trying to overthrow Dog Killer Dad. Where Na Bora fits into all of this, I won't even attempt to guess... Rolling Eyes

I don't think Evilgirl would permit that, since she wants him and has the goods on him.

Why doe I have the urge to sing 'Bork! Bork! Bork!' after every line of that song?

I'm liking this--there's real intrigue---aka the company business history--I thought we wouldn't see the hero till mid series This is a good twist---But, as the book says, most of all I remember mama---I swooned when she said--I'm not my husband you won't roll over me

I smell amnesia and a time jump rapidly approaching! Bad Haircut Boy is being sent to the Gulag (aka the USA) for 5 years (where he'll get a good haircut) and Wendy-wig is taking care of Nice Guy during his long recovery. Nice Girl will have Nice Guy's baby in the interim. The only question is, will Nice Guy marry Wendy-wig, or will he just become engaged to her during this time?

he protects the yard by continually patrolling its perimeter. He announces his presence to strangers --he is the first to hear unwelcomed sounds in the night--I'm pretty sure Fido thinks he more than pulls his weight around here.
I keep thinking preggers is going to marry bad boy --otherwise -as soon as good-boy re-gains his memory--they can re-unite--not good for 100+ episodes

it would be a wonderful slap to grey wig to learn his only grandchild really belongs to amnesia's father (his old dead enemy) This plot just gave me a headache Eek ! --but I still (or at least to this point) prefer it to Purity

But the girls aren't as cute! And there's that annoying Russian music!

Bad Haircut Boy really loves Nice Girl. What will Evilgirl do?

Mr. Green patrols his perimeter and makes sounds...but they're usually caused by gas...and he sleeps all night...and most of the day...when he's not eating...

If Fido and Mr. Green could meet, Fido would bark continually as he pounced (near ,not on) M.G. then he'd back up and look for his mother. Mr. Green would pass wind in boredom. I'm a day late on GC--so I didn't get your dog allusion ---But I agree the music is odd---Did you ever see the ad from Europe with a family singing the rauchy lyrics to a hip hop song? Reminds me of that---Did anyone from the sound department check these lyrics Eek ! r I'd better go check out yesterday's show--

Bad Haircut Boy said nhis father treated him like a dog.
DKD asked Bad Haircut Boy if he knew how hard a dog works - meaning a dog doesn't work hard, but harder than him.

I'm thinking dog- son won't be the villian--that's going to greywig--But unless coma-boy goes with Braids-- could they really have quiet girl stay with dog-son. I like this one--I'm sad that there's none I love right now--can't wait for dream and style and Swallow to end!

Nice Guy goes into convulsions as the Russian dance music goes 'round and 'round in his head...I don't blame him. Rolling Eyes

"Marry me, or pay the rent!" says Snidely Whiplash. And poor Nell, to save her wicked step-mother, and wicked step-sister, sacrifices her virtue to Bad Boy (who needs to grow a handlebar moustache to twirl). Okay, when do we have a railroad track tying? Laugh Out Loud

This show would really work if Nice Guy were to come back as a masked avenger, superhero type, who destroys his enemies and reclaims his woman, but then rejects her because Bad Boy has already despoiled her. Wendy could don a blond wig and become his side-kick, Niceguy's Girl.

Great synopsis--at least that's what I foresee as well---Sometimes, as with (River runs through it) the bad guy gets the girl--of course first he must walk through hell for 30 ep's..That's why I'm worried-- sister-GF may marry into Hell and stay there Crying --maybe not. Laugh Out Loud
I'm still a day behind--editing is vile--I'm going to send you something in a minute--editor says it should be changed--you're smarter Praise you! ---see in in 5

I'm not watching this series, but I came across this sentence from a recent dramabeans article:

Recently, SBS’s morning drama Green Coach [녹색마차] even shut down filming when its production company failed to pay its actors on time.

I don't know if this would be transparent to the viewer. It looks like you guys are not crazy about this series. Maybe the actors felt the same way.

The full article was mostly about IRIS and Chuno:

It's that annoying music, I tells ya! It cause Nice Guy to shake himself out of his wheelchair and fall on his head, thereupon accruing even more brain damage.

TIME JUMP! (Like I didn't see it coming... Rolling Eyes )

I love how Bad Haircut Boy took Nice Guy's ring off Nice Girl's finger and replaced it with his own. That's real dominance - taking a woman away from the man who loves her, and she loves. How erotic! I'll have to remmeber that.

Now, Nice Guy has to regain his eyesight, regain his memory, and gain some super power.

This show actually isn't so bad.

I missed last night--Jim and I were at a Korean charity event at Chelsea Piers--They had my name on the guest but not Jim's. Finally after looking at another list, the hostess asked, Are you Jim Fitzpatrick??!!
BTW--They allowed him in--
I haven't seen tonight's yet--Is she preggers or is there a little boy running about??
I will give up dailies forever if she ends up with spoiled boy (son of grey wig)---Nah du! I also like this one--not love but like---

My fame precedes me...

Five year time jump! She has Nice Guy's child, but Bad Haircut Boy thinks it's his.

Evil Dad reminds me a lot of George Steinbrenner - except not quite as evil...

He treats her like a queen and dotes on the little kid.

If that family has a French maid, they should dress her like a French maid. I bet she'll end up with Uncle Driver, who hasn't seen his wife for at least 5 years.

I've changed my mind I think braid girl will end up with gangsta junior---This show has gom peh, evil-girl from office, hero's mean family, botox step-mom, grey wig and 'hubby with wrong baby' There's a whole lotta bad folks here---cool!
The maid's outfit is like a b-movie--a little English, a little French, a little porn--tres weird
