Ok, weird thing is going on.

I set my digital converter to 35.2 and it changes to 35.4 ALL BY ITSELF! So, of course, I think something is wrong with my converter. But, this is happening to other people who have posted on the MIND message board. No answer yet from anyone on that board. Maybe the guy from MIND (Matt?) who posts here can figure out why this is happening.

I know I am a broken record, but..... I totally understand that the station staff is over worked and underpaid and that the station itself is underfunded. I get that the whole 5 min concept was supposed to generate much needed income. But the bottom line for me is 'can I watch what I want to watch?' And the answer has been, 'not reliably.' I am frustrated. Why has yet a 4th channel been added, when the current three aren't even running smoothly? None of this makes any sense to me.

That happens to me too during storms.
It's so much fun to have to run back to your channel every few min or so. (/sarcasm)

Well, at least you are home! Sometimes I'm out, and I'm recording a show and I instead get a different MIND program from either 35.1 or 35.4.

This sucks. I think I'm going to give up on the dailies when the current one is over and on historicals when the Iron Empress is finished. It used to be fun watching Wang Guhn and Age of Warriors, looking forward to each week's new episode. Now, it's not so fun anymore because I feel like I am constantly having to find out information about why my channel is switching, or why the station is out, why my parents can't see it on Direct TV, or why the wrong episode was on.

I think that this Mind-not-working-angst has probably driven many of you away and is at least part of the reason people stopped watching faithfully enough to make writing the daily episode summaries worth it and was partly responsible for the DOMMIE group (good idea, btw). Many people have given up and now do the majority of their watching on mysoju or crunchyroll or etc.

When the other lady ran the station, maybe they weren't big or important or ground breaking, but my show was on every week and there was a lot of interesting and weird international stuff on as well.

I just want to look at a tv schedule, turn my tv on, and watch.

I dont get any of the Korean Dramas now they just stopped them right when its almost at the end how mean
is that i would watch Mind TV here on ch 14 Monmouth Cablevision now last night nothing they had some
cooking show on i waited and waited why did they take the K Dramas off ? and where did they put them ?
Mind TV is the worse Ch on television so far ..

Yep, just checked my DVD from this past weekend. I had set the converter for 35.2, but managed to record 35.1 mostly and some 35.4 as well as a bunch of "no signal." Niiiiiice.

I hear ya sister! I went on the MIND website to figure out where they went. Apparently they are now airing the K Dramas only on a new channel: Global Mind. Couldn't they have waited until TRH and High As The Sky...ended? It hurts don't it! If you have Comcast then you also have Global Mind already. I however, have Verizon Fios and according to the MIND website the channel for Global Mind on FIOS is still To Be Announced. I guess its mysoju or crunchyroll again. Sigh!

I have RCN so I am not getting the Dramas either.

For those of you interested, the VC (Video Club) has The Road Home (complete), High as the Sky (complete) and Iron Empress (up to episode 53) along with a jillion other things.

 

It's so weird because right now on Comcast regular channel 35 (I do not have a converter) is normally where I would watch them at this time of night but they are not on. But with the hubby working I was able to watch the 10:00PM showing of TRH and then right after that was SHEW on the digital channel 265. Have any of you tried to see if there are any MIND channels showing them at 10:00PM?

Does anyone remember how nicely we were treated by Wybe/ kbs? We were invited to their studio, we felt like we were part of something special... we were entertained and even had our pictures taken with important people involved in the station... and they came to out get together's... NOW with Mindless TV we are ignored and insulted. We watched these shows for months and in return they turn off our ability to continue our personal rituals and forced to sit at a computer and try to see the end of the dramas we have come to look forward to. I called the station tonight and got messages ... saying that those of us with fios are basically out of luck, gone no more ... if we want to watch anything we can see Mindless nonsense of public broadcasting quality ( sorry public broadcasting) but we have come to expect more. Remember when professor nobody was on the commercial that interrupted out viewing pleasure and he said that his students said that changing the time would only allow them to study more? EXCUSE ME.. I have been out of college for almost 40 years... And thier demographics represents how much of the TV viewing public? it was a cop out on his part...
So I had been told about my suji .. but they have been having trouble with many sites... I did watch most of the end episodes of Road Home on this link and it worked.

So what do we do now? Do we all just name a drama and we all watch it together over the internet so we can discuss it since we cannot utilize the TV anymore?
