I found this recipe on a blog, and it looked like something you guys would enjoy making (for those of you who can actually cook). Since I can't even boil water, I won't attempt this, but maybe one of you kind souls will make it and send me some. Laugh Out Loud

Anyway, it's from K-Popped Kitchen. Here's the actual website for the recipe: http://k-popped.com/2007/12/k-popped-kitchen-japchae.html

Enjoy!

ah just keep in mind japchae is one of the "more" complicated foods to cook in korea. and by more complicated i mean there's actually an order to do things rather than just shoving tons of stuff in a pot and letting it boil Smile

That's right. You are supposed to saute all the component veggies and protiens seperately. Chapje IS a lot of work. That's why I have only made it a couple of times, even though it's one of my faves. So yummie, though...

What she made looks delicious none the less. Very Happy

Since there were only a few steps in preparation, I thought it would be an easy recipe. That goes to show you how much I know about cooking!

I got it from the Korean cooking for everyone Quick and easy cook book.
Fried Tofu is easy to marinade.

I looked at my Korean cookbooks. Some of them say to mix the veggies seperately and some say to mix them at once. I'm sure all really good dishes that are complicated have a "short cut" version. Short cut dish or not, It looks delicious. I c0c4 beansprouts!!

Right -- that's what I've read.

So did you take notes -- and can you show me how to do it? Very Happy

it was yummy. Maybe not as pretty as the picture but i don't go for looks.
I was told to make it again.
Side story= My step-MIL ate so much she got a headache then accused me of putting MSG in it.
I never did it was all natural & all organic.
I really think e-MIL's transcendent cultures.
