I started the Politics Forum to give people a chance to debate differing political views in a safe, friendly environment. I also did it to keep political rants, jibes and statements out of other areas of the Board.

Since right before the election things have turned very ugly in that Forum. People who are typically friendly and outgoing have turned into sniping harpies I don't even recognize anymore. It is for this reason that both the American Politics Topic and the General Politics Topic will be deleted. The Korean Politics Topic will remain for the time being. If that topic starts getting ugly - it will be gone as well.

I want to take this opportunity to caution users of this Forum. Since both sides of this seem to be unable to tolerate the other side, from this day forward political discussions, statements, jibes, jokes, signatures, avatars will not be allowed. If you have a signature or avatar that is political in nature, I would ask that you remove it. If it isn't removed in a reasonable amount of time, I will remove it and send you a PM as to why. If the behavior continues you risk being banned.

I really don't want to have to do this. We are all adults here but both my head and my heart are aching. My head is aching from all the PMs and e-mails I have been getting complaining about the behavior. My heart is aching because I KNOW you people. I KNOW you are all good people regardless of your political beliefs. I KNOW you guys are sweet, wonderful, warm hearted people. I want those people back.

I find the term sniping harpies politically incorrect... lol Anyway, there's a reason I stay away from politics when it comes to friends because I don't want to offend friends in anyway. Very Happy You bunch of sniping harpies! :p

T, I'm adding that term to my vocabulary... thanks! lolol

It was the most accurate description I could come up with Will. I am glad you liked it.

hug I'm sorry that you had to make such a decision.

As someone said in one of the other threads, the only thing we should be fighting about is what hottie is hotter or which is the best drama (we definitely can agree on the worst-YAMD!).

I never saw MPC, thank god, so YAMD was the worst for me although I've spoken about how bad Phoenix was many a time on here... You can't compare Dailys and short dramas tho to be fair.

My opinion is that MPC didn't get as rediculous as YAMD. But if we fight about that instead of the other stuff, I can handle it. e1l1

Let's fight over the hotties now. Evil / Twisted

Don't you make fun of my pretty boys ... that's Kim Hyun Joong ... Chris, the queen is making fun of our guy ...

Let's see, Lee Jee Hoon, Bae Yong Joon, Kangta, Ahn Jae Wook (especially the Star In My Heart look ...), now KHJ ... notice any trends?!

I LOVE the PRETTY ones!

You can have the rugged, muscle guys ... I'll take the pretty, sensitive ones ... see, and we don't even have to fight about it!

MPC i never saw but my youngest sister watched and taped it every day while she went to high school.
So someday i will watch it because i remember her squealing and laughing and crying her room watching it. I want to watch too.
So in a weird way i love MPC without ever watching it.

I haven't seen one daily drama i do not like yet.

but Korean movies hmmmm they are not my cup of tea.

This is a forum that I signed up with a while ago, but have to admit avoided like the plague ever since because of all of the political avatars/arguments, etc...

I'm glad you made this decision- like many others, I came here to 'argue over the hotties', not over politics.

I've been around since the beginnings, on Yahoo lists.....and I too hated that politics even got discussed here. I agree -- lets talk about the dramas and the hotties. I've posted about dramas with no responses to the postings because of all the political posts going on. I read the news mags, I have TV, I have a job -- that's where all the politics I ever need or want get discussed so here I want to be talking K DRAMAS or K news or K hotties!!!

So I'm with ya Queen T -- off with their heads!! Praise you! Praise you! Praise you!

I have to agree Wink I haven't seen one drama that I didn't like either, but I did skip on As Much As Heaven and Earth and most of Bizarre Bunch mostly by accident because they hadn't repeated Naïvety Nineteen and I wanted them to d7r5 But I really regret doing that now.

Seriously, it's a shame that some people can't be smart enough
to have a conversation about politics (or religion, for that matter)
and listen to - and respect - an opposite opinion.

Too bad that along with us perfect people, a few jerks try to spoil
a good thing. If somebody has that much anger in them that they need
to post it on a web site, they should get counseling to diffuse that anger.
And then, get a good life.

Anybody got a problem with this post, HUH, you bunch of turkeys? Evil / Twisted

Same here and I'm also glad you made this decision! I joined this forum to talk about Korean historical dramas and movies, not politics!

Y'know, if people must talk about that sort of thing, they should head over to The Demon's Den (http://www.dreamindemon.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=48) and hang out in Three Things. It's for the "three things" people shouldn't talk about in polite company: "Politics, Religion and Money. Forum for discussing topics that usually always end up in a flaming heap."

MPC i never saw but my youngest sister watched and taped it every day while she went to high school.
So someday i will watch it because i remember her squealing and laughing and crying her room watching it. I want to watch too.
So in a weird way i love MPC without ever watching it.

I haven't seen one daily drama i do not like yet.

but Korean movies hmmmm they are not my cup of tea.

i bet she was squealing and laughing cause it was just THAT bad!
