That's what I figured last summer when they sent a free copy of EWG episode 1 with my complete Immortal Yi Soon Shin. Thank you for posting this. I had stopped even checking out the E-Store.

I'd love to have it for my very own. But aigu! That is a lot of money to invest in a drama.

For 200 episodes, that's about what you'd pay for an American series.

But it's still a bit of sticker shock! hug Laugh Out Loud

The price really isn't that high. It all depends on how you look at it. If they send them out the way they us our copy, that will be 200 disks. The cost is about $3 a disk for the whole set.

It costs the video club ~ $60/100 disks for the good quality disks. The labor involved is a lot as well. So let's just take a look at costs here.....

Disks - $120.00
Clamshell holders - $40.00
Labor (~30 hrs@$10/hr) - $300.00
Miscellaneous (ink, box, bubble wrap, etc...) - $5.00

Grand Total - $465.00*

*This figure doesn't take into account equipment costs.

Or try this.....

Over at Wal Mart, Grey's Anatomy, Season 4 is $37 for 5 disks or $7.40 a disk.

What goes here? You’re not supposed to make it seem reasonable. You’re supposed to talk me out of it. You should see my credit card bills over the past year. It's called boosting the S. Korean economy.

Maybe you could help me out with something about Wang Guhn since you’ve seen it recently. Just tell me (approx.) at what point in the story Jung Tae-woo appears
Spoiler (Click here to reveal) :

as the advisor to that guy with the eye patch, and whether he’s in it from there to the end.
So I know about how many episodes I have to buy versus how many I’d be satisfied to borrow from the Video Club. In a down economy it pays to have a plan. Praise you!

Edit by Theresa: spoiler tags added - VERY minor spoiler

lol I begged for a long time for that series. Since it was my first, it holds a very special place in my heart. Very Happy

Your answer.....

Spoiler (Click here to reveal) :

I am not exactly sure where he shows up but I want to say somewhere between episode 70 and 80. Although I believe he is mentioned before that. He is then in the series all way up to maybe episode 160 or so. I am only up to episode 148 at the moment. I remember enough of it from the last time I watched it to know his demise is coming soon but we still have some stuff to go thru.

chang - karma for stimulating the korean economy.

aepm - karma so you can keep up your strength. It will most likely be a long, tough battle.

I took the plunge and bought the complete EWG. It arrived at my door a week ago. Great blend of history,
politics, war, melodrama, religion, mysticism. Thus far very impressive, especially those two 40-something
character actors playing lead roles. This is how it felt last summer when I started IYSS, like diving into a
long Russian novel that you know is going to keep you busy for weeks or months. It’s gonna be a
thrilling summer.

When I like ‘em I watch ‘em two or three times. That’s 200 x 2 or 3. I’m set for a year.

Thank you! to James at KBS in L.A., who got my order moving after a long wait. applause Praise you!

A marathon. I know what you mean! I've had it for 9 days and I'm up to episode 32. Sometimes
watch it during lunch hours at my desk in front of the computer (I work at home).

When Jung Tae-woo shows up in his award-winning role I may go from marathon to 24/7. Laugh Out Loud

I have something in common with the younger generation? Compliments to your daughter Ailene
on her exquisite taste. Praise you!

So far I've resisted jumping ahead in EWG to see what Jung Tae-woo plays. I think I've guessed.
Please confirm.

Spoiler (Click here to reveal) :

When Yangil's daughter coughed up her breakfast it hit me. He plays another long-lost son
of unhappy birth?
