Reserved for the last one! a7v6

Young Gmom is telling Taesik to live with RichGmom. She wants him to get married. She wants him to treat his real mom properly. He doesn’t think he’ll be comfortable with her alone. She doesn’t think anyone will want two mother-in-laws anyway.

YoungGmom then goes to visit MJu. She wants to stay with MJu. She tells MJu the only way he’ll get married is if she leaves. MJu and FCH are more than happy to have her.

YoungGmom tell the family and they don’t react greatly. MJa & MTae are begging her not to go. He tells her that they all should live together just as they are now. RichGmom says she’ll leave if YoungGmom doesn’t want to live together. YoungGmom tries to explain why MTae should live with RichGmom. RichGmom says she can’t live without her. RichGmom offers to sell her house and buy something that YoungGmom will like.

SH & EJ & Seulgi go to SH’s parents. EMO & Jisu are there. EJ decides to buy lunch for everyone.

The Gmoms and MTae go out looking for a place. The Gmoms don’t seem thrilled with the places they see. They decide to move into RichGmom’s place after all. They will make repairs and move in. RichGmom asks MTae to take over one of the restaurants. She will sell the other. She is going to put Nari Restaurant in MJa & Taesik’s name. She decides to give some of the proceeds to SH & MJu. The rest will go in a trust in EMO’s name. She says he’ll put it to good use since he’s going to be a social worker. She tells MTae that he must succeed in order for them to live off of his money. YoungGmom is happy that Rich Gmom can’t show off her money anymore.

Later, EMO & Jisu decide to move with MJa after MTae & the Gmoms move out. EMO wants to talk to SH about it. He meets SH the next day and asks for his approval to move in. SH is happy to approve knowing their parents will be happy.

Jisu & EJ are talking about the family. EJ says she finally knows what it feels like to be a daughter-in-law.

EMO & Jisu go to visit Sejun & BirthMom. They play basketball and ride bikes. They later visit MJu & FCH to say goodbye before their backpacking trip. Jiung gives them money for their trip. EMO & Jisu go to MJa’s to bow before everyone and say goodbye. MTae is taking them to the airport and is anxious to see Seonmi & Seongi. They get to the airport and he finally sees them. It’s a tearful but happy reunion. EH & Jimin go to the airport to see EMO & Jisu off. They give them emergency rations – chocolate. Jimin takes a picture of EMO & Jisu as they go to board the plane.

I didn't like that rich granny gave up her money. Sad
why can't she keep showing off her money?

watching the clips i have a feeling absence will make the heart grow fonder with this show.
it really did have some good moments i just think it was 40 episodes too long.
if they'd edited it down a bit it could have been really good.

Oh well LoN or bust! a4g3

I have to admit I did get a tear in my eye when Myeongtae's kids came to him. I just kept thinking, how could you not see your kids for four years. It was sad. Crying

I cried when his kids came to him also. I think that was the most significant scene from the whole last episode. Everything else about the final episode was as blagh as the whole drama. Now I'm not badmouthing the whole thing, because the drama was ok, and I really, really liked the characters, and I'm gonna miss them, but the drama was just ok.

Looking forward to our new one starting on Monday! d6u6

Well it was nice to see that they had to make the last one mostly about YoungGmom tossing yet another fit. Rolling Eyes

Chocolate as a emergency ration....hmmm - isn't it the 5th food group? a9e3

awww im sad that its ending even though it could of been finished in like 100 episodes. why would they have youngGmom throw a fit on the last episode it was supposed to be a happy event that really annoied me. but they really should of spiced up meyoung and jisu's marriage i hate that there newly weds and ur pretty wife is in the bed while ur studying wat a let down couple but i love eunha and jimin also eunju and saghyueon. E and J had the best story.

You are right, they should have spiced up Jisu and My's relationship. I was always waiting for more with them too. They were so nice together, and I was hoping for something a little more grand then just leaving for their honeymoon at the conclusion, but they just let them fizzle. EH and Jimin were adorable, and I was hoping for something more with them also. I know they were quite a way into the drama before EH and Jimin met, but I thought they would at least be engaged by the end of the drama. Oh well, just my opinion. Smile

I felt like this when PIH ended, but definitely NOT with SHEW. Fortunately, KBS is back on track with "Likeable or Not". After 15 episodes I vote that it's likeable!

My cable company (PatriotMedia) carries channel WMBC, which is HQ'd in Newton, NJ. It's channel 63 over the airwaives; it's channel 19 on my cable system. They carry Likeable or Not from about 9:22 PM to 10:00 PM, M-F. They started showing LON on November 5. DJY is on Saturday and Sunday from about 9:07 PM to 10:00 PM.

Comcast recently bought out PatriotMedia. I have no idea how this will change my current broadcasting package.

I may be way out of line here, but I think most all of the 150+ KDs are too long...I can't remember a show that I thought should have gone on longer. There have been some characters I wanted to see more of, but basically the story was long over by the time the show ended. Even some of the 16 episoders could easily end at 12. I end up enjoying them anyway, but I think some editing would greatly improve many of these KDs. Wink

I agree with you Deb ..most of the long dramas are way way to long i lose interest in them and
just continue watching at the very end ..the short ones i really stopped watching for about a
year now but now i miss them so this winter i shall continue to watch some of them and fast
forward them if they really are repetitive and boring ...I am not a romantic drama person i love
mystery and action type dramas ...

I have to say, that I'm kinda glad it ended...I just didn't like the story line at all. Muyeong had no self worth and Jisu...just bothered me. I did like Eunha and her boyfriend though! Muyeong and Jisu were the most boring couple to me. Who studies when there're newlyweds?? All in all in wasn't a bad show, it just wasn't my cup of tea...

I missed a lot of episodes in the middle so it didn't seem too long to me. Actually I still don't know why Young GMom ended up with MyoungTae and MyoungJa? can someone point me to the episode summary that explains that? But I did like this series in the end. I came to appreciate how the theme of separation and reunification the show explored through so many different relationships. I can imagine it resonated with many Koreans, especially in light of the high-level talks the North and South held earlier this year.

I finally watched the final episode last night . My TV was tied up for most of the weekend some kind of game was playing....ha!
I was so bored! Nothing got to me so I too am glad it was over. No one changed a bit and it was so sappy.
Even Grandma curlers in the end seemed to played out.
The only thing was I was glad to see was Uncle getting to see his kids. He was the biggest change in character.
oh well... Very Happy

I watched the last one Thursday night. It was a nice ending. Much different from MSMD. I needed therapy after that drama ended. I'm looking forward to the new drama.
