I might be able to make this as I am supposed to be scheduled for Vacation that week...so put me down as a maybe...I might convince mom and dad to come too.

Ok I just booked my tickets. Using my Veteran's Advantage Discount the total cost was $80 roundtrip. (Cost before discount: $94)

Depart Phila 30th St Station at 3:35pm on March 12
Arrive NY Penn Station at 4:58pm on March 12

Return Trip****

Depart NY Penn Station at 11:15pm on March 12
Arrive Phila 30th St Station at 12:40am on March 13

I'm in too. As i live in Bucks County PA I am right down RT 1 from Trenton. I will probably catch NJ transit there from trenton. I think its something like $12 or $13 each way. (about $25 roundtrip). Cheaper than Amtrak. Maybe not as nice as Amtrak? I don't know. But MUCH cheaper. I hop on NJ Transit anytime i wanna hit the big apple.

Looking forward to seeing you all tonite. If the rain isn't too bad, I'm going to catch the exhibit of Korean dance masks at the Korea Society beforehand then walk over to the Cultural Service for my noodles.

Adrienne is ill so she won't be coming. Anyone who was planning on taking their copies of Sea and Sky to be signed will have to wait until next time.

 

How was NYC yesterday no one said anything about Noodle ? hope you had fun ..

lol No one has said anything yet because we all got home so late last night.

The evening was very nice. We learned some stuff. ate some great food both at the event and afterwards and we got to meet some new friends. Ms. Choi from KBS America was very nice. She came and hugged us all at the end. We gave her a t-shirt designed specially for her.
 

We also gave her a cell phone charm, a mug and the last cloth bag we had. She was a little choked up by the gifts.

All in all a wonderful evening. I was a little disappointed that half the people who signed up to go did not show up. Once again, people from the Philly area out numbered people from NY by a vast majority. I guess Lucas was right when he joked "How do you get people from NY to stay home? You hold an event in NY."

Thank you to Laurie, Cat B., Shante, Talese, Lillian, Lois, Lois' guest and Marie for coming out to support KBS. If anyone else from here was there - you should have introduced yourselves. We don't bite - unless you want us to.

Awesome to see so many familiar faces and to talk with other fans.

It was fun meeting Lois and her daughter--even though I did not get the memo about wearing purple.




Laurie & I went up early, to tour the hanbok museum.
But first, we had kimbap from E-mo.
After the museum, we had to go to Koryodong bakery (twist my arm!) so Laurie could get treats for Ron.
I think Laurie was oogling the shoes as much as the hotties--poor thing!
'Course, it could be because I sat down first and snagged the better view...

All in all, a most enjoyable trip!
